Marine Parks and Reserves Unit (MPRU) is currently hiring for 8 Park Ranger II to join their working environment in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participating in regular patrols and monitoring marine reserves.
- Maintaining patrol equipment and facilities.
- Arresting violators and providing evidence in legal proceedings.
- Supporting visitor services such as guiding, interpretation and providing rescue operations.
- Helping in maintain nature trails and historical sites
- Preparing and submitting patrol reports.
- Perform other duties as can be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Form IV or VI certificate.
- Certificate of NTA Level 5 in one of the following:
- Aquaculture
- Fisheries
- Wildlife
- Fish Processing
- Marine Science
- Environmental or
- Coastal Resource Management
- Natural Resource Management
- Basic Military Training Certificate is added advantage
