Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is currently hiring for 50 weighbridge Officer II to join their working environment in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This is Full-time opportunity that plays a big part in protecting the country road infrastructure through ensuring vehicle weight compliance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing shift schedules for assigned weighbridge stations.
- Overseeing the weighing of motor vehicles
- Imposing damage fees for overloaded vehicles.
- Measuring vehicle and cargo dimensions including directing non compliant transporters to get special transport permits.
- Ensuring transporters comply with abnormal load permits.
- Addressing operational challenges at weighbridge stations and proposing effective solutions.
- Monitoring performance and safety of weighbridge equipment.
- Carrying out any other duties as can be assigned by supervisor.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following
- Scientific Metrology
- Law
- Sociology
- Business Administration
- Social Work
- Psychology
Or equivalent from a recognized institution
