World Bank Group is currently hiring for Local Economist to join their working environment in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As selected candidate you will be required to guide policy dialogue and support macroeconomic reforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzing macroeconomic trends and preparing regular updates.
Using economic models to inform policy and development decisions.
Supporting debt management and developing finance policies
Maintaining strong engagement with the Tanzanian government, development partners and private sectors
Qualification
Master’s degree in Economics, PhD is preferred
Five years of working experience in relevant position
Knowledge of Tanzania economic environment
Experience with economic data analysis and policy formulation.
Good in Microsoft packages such as Excel
Good communication skills
